First off, Im not much of a wheel guy. I love the mechanical stuff, so I have no issue rationalizing putting money into the drive train. Its a lot harder for me to do the same for wheels. Its just not something Im passionate about. I had tons of issues with getting my Volks (the rears in particular) to work. Obviously, not a cheap wheel to begin with. Before I bought my Volks, I was looking at getting a new set of J line wheels. The reason why I went with the Volks was because I was having a real hard time justifying 5k for a set of wheels without tires. It was just beyond the budget I set for myself, but they had the exact look and fitment I was looking for that I was unable to find anywhere else. By the time I spent the money to get the wheels in the right offset, buy new bolts to clear the spacers, by longer valve stems......I wouldve been better off buying the J line wheels to start with. There is A LOT to be said for the insurance of knowing that something will be right the FIRST time around instead of having to spend more time and money to make it right.
